GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Camps hired will be for a minimum of 2 nights. If hunting for 1 day only, hunter’s prices will be raised for the rest of the stay.
  • 100% of total accommodation costs must please be paid as deposit into the following account, 1 week in advance, and the prove of deposit must be faxed as confirmation of reservation to 014 592 2943. Account holder: Die Cas Venter Familie Trust – Bank: Standard Bank – Account nr: 033105405 – Branch code: 052646 50% of the price of the animal hunted, with a minimum of R100, will be payable for every missed shot.
  • Hunters may not shoot at Antelope bigger as Impala with ammunition smaller than 160 grain Hunting with caliber.243 and smaller are not allowed.
  • Hunters must shoot their rifles in beforehand, in the presence of the PH.
  • The full price is payable for all game which is wounded according to the Tracker’s affirmation. Wounded animals will be charged for, at full price.
  • All visitors must complete, sign and fax the under mentioned indemnity form before hand to the owner or hand it to him upon arrival on the Farm, BEFORE any hunting can be done. Visitors not adhering to this notice must take note that they are entering the farm at own risk as indicated on this form and by entering the premises comply with the indemnity. Minors’ parents must sign the form with them.
  • Hunters provide their own food and drinks. Fire wood is provided and NO wood are allowed to be collected or taken from the veldt. A fine of R1000 per incident will be charged. No vehicle or person is allowed outside the Camping area, unless accompanied by a tracker in service of the owner during hunting.
  • No domestic animals are allowed on the Farm.
  • Maximum of 4 guides available. Guides are not personal servants and will only be helping with the tracking and slaughtering of game. Hunting and processing meat are the hunter’s own responsibility. Guides will not be held responsible for you shooting or making the wrong choices.
  • No shot, under any circumstances, may be fired unless one of the guides is present and approved it. With regard to every such shot fired, the penalty will be payable. Any problems must be taken up with the owner personally and accounts verified before further hunting or leaving the Farm.
  • The Premises is entered and activities undertaken at own risk. The owner and/or employee accepts no responsibility for any injuries, mistakes, accidents, damage and/or death of any visitor /or property in their possession. The owner and/or employee accept no responsibility for any hunting expedition, including accommodation, transport and vehicles, guides, that are entirely or partially unsatisfying or not happening.
  • All hunters and visitors confirm on entering of the premises that they are aware of the rules and conditions stated in this document and understand and accept them. No amendments will be valid except if it’s confirmed in writing by the owner. The owner and his caretaker holds the right to order any person or groups who disobey the rules, cause trouble or are a nuisance to leave the property immediately, irrespective of any payments already made to the owner despite of any further actions taken.
  • On arrival, the Camp can be entered at 13h00 pm and is to be evacuated by 11h00 am on the day of departure unless otherwise arranged.
  • No alcohol is allowed in the veldt and no persons under the influence of alcohol will be allowed to handle a firearm or vehicle.
  • Hunters/ visitors making a reservation as a group will be treated as such. They will collectively and individually be responsible for adhering to the rules and also for any fees and/or damages arising from their stay. No full metal ammunition, ammunition lighter than 100 grain or ammunition with other than standard lead projectiles may be used for hunting. No unethical hunting or hunting in contrary with the Department of Nature Conservation regulations will be tolerated. No hunting before 06h30 am and after 17h00 pm.
  • Guides’ testimony in respect of adhering to rules, events on the Farm, hunted game, whether wounded or not etc, is final and binding on all parties. Any game wounded will be deemed hunted and the full value of it will be payable. Any blood, bones, hide, meat or hair which is found will be seen as proof that an animal was indeed hit. Please insure that all wounded animals are speedily found. Finding wounded animals is the sole responsibility of the hunter, who’ll be aided by the guides. The owner has the right to at any time withdraw guides and/or stop hunting activities until such time that wounded animals have been found.
  • Ownership of the game stays with the owner and may not be removed from the Farm until all fees have been paid.
  • In the event of fees due or outstanding as specified herein, not paid to full, will the party concerned/ owing it be responsible to pay interest at maximum rates in terms with the Trade Law, as well as damage suffered by the owner and costs that occurred in respect of recovery of outstanding amounts.
  • Rifles may only be shot in designated areas under supervision of guides. Limited number of shots fired on the Farm – the more shots fired, the less game is usually seen. Only game specified in the list indicated may be hunted. No shots may be fired on any other animals, birds, plants or trees.
  • In the event of any bird or unauthorized animal being shot, a penalty as indicated will be payable.
  • In respect of wounded and game not located, the highest value of male/ female of the species will be payable.
  • In respect of game hunted to the contrary of these rules, or attempting to hunt unauthorised animals by bribing the guides, the fee will be calculated as twice the standard listed price. DO NOT TRY TO BRIBE THE GUIDES! Guides are authorized to keep bribe money and gifts and nevertheless report these incidents.
